MGA’s Letter to The Star
Utilising natural gas to power-generating plant and other consumers brings both environmental and economic benefits to Malaysia.
Gas-fired power generation is the cleanest burning fossil fuel and flexible, making it the ideal complement to intermittent renewables. Supplying domestic gas to consumers requires an extensive value chain that includes operators of upstream oil and gas companies, gas processing plants (pic), pipelines and power plants, thereby creating thousands of jobs.
