Devendran Sinnadurai

PANEL SESSION 4: “ENSURING A VIBRANT & SUSTAINABLE FUTURE GAS INDUSTRY"

Devendran is the Chief Executive Officer for Insha Carbon, focusing on sustainable finance innovation through the development of a voluntary carbon/climate exchange.

Devendran has over 28 years of experience in driving growth, shaping business strategy and executing high-value projects and cross-border M&A transactions – with broad sector exposure across Utilities/Infrastructure, Plantations, Property, Industrial Equipment, Healthcare, tech startups and social enterprises. More recently, he has focused on the “NetZero Shift” – advising on projects that target a climate-positive outcome (biogas, renewable energy, water treatment, waste-management, virtual gas pipelines, etc).

A business model hacktivist, he believes that a new framework for infrastructure development (particularly in the energy sector) is required to enable delivery of our NetZero ambitions – one that is decentralised, enabling, market-oriented, data-driven and fully incorporates socio-ecological outcomes at its heart. Unlocking access to traceable, ESG-verifiable sources of sustainable energy requires both policy and market reform, through improved third-party access and voluntary markets for climate/carbon credits.
