Andrea Stegher

Andrea has almost 30 years’ experience in the energy and gas sector in strategic, development, commercial, regulatory and transition matters. He started his career at Eni E&P and thereafter he actively promoted the liberalization process, leading Underground Gas Storage regulatory and business development. He was one of the founders of Gas Storage Europe and has served several years as GIE Board member.
Since 2010, he moved to Snam where he has been leading infrastructure development and international M&A activities. Among these, he had a primary role in fostering the Southern Gas Corridor development.
When heading Snam Strategy, he was the initial promoter of the Gas for Climate 2050 initiative and launched the CNG/SSLNG and biomethane activities.
He then led the Snam Global Solutions business unit, founded to support gas markets development and optimization worldwide and, in specific, the set-up of Snam cooperation in China.
He is currently a Senior Advisor to Snam and is serving as International Gas Union Vice President and incoming 2025-2028 President.
Professor Damjan Krnjević Mišković

Damjan KRNJEVIĆ MIŠKOVIĆ is a veteran Serbian and UN diplomat who has served as a senior political strategist, adviser, and crisis counselor, gaining more than a decade’s worth of executive-level policymaking experience before reaching 40 years of age.
Since 2020, Mr. Krnjević has resided in Baku, Azerbaijan, where he is Professor of Practice at ADA University; Director for Policy Research, Analysis, and Publications at the Institute for Development and Diplomacy (the university’s in-house think-tank); and Co-Editor of ADA’s flagship English-language quarterly policy journal Baku Dialogues. Concurrently, he is a Fellow at the Germany-based Agora Strategy Institute and serves as a Member of the Board of Editors of Orbis, published by the U.S.-based Foreign Policy Research Institute. In March 2023, he was a Ludovika Visiting Scholar at the University of Public Service-Ludovika (Budapest).
Mr. Krnjević’s previous appointments include:
• Senior Strategist and Chief Speechwriter for the Serbian Candidate for UN Secretary-General (2015-2016);
• Senior Special Advisor and Chief Speechwriter to the President of the UN General Assembly (2012 2013);
• Senior Adviser and Chief Speechwriter to the Foreign Minister of Serbia (2007 2012), with concurrent appointments as Chairperson of the Admissions Committee of the State Diplomatic Academy and membership to its Advisory Board;
• Director of Policy Planning and Analysis of the Presidential Administration of Serbia (2006 2007);
• Special Adviser and Chief Speechwriter to the President of Serbia (2004 2006); and
• Managing Editor of The National Interest (2002 2004), where he also held an appointment as Fellow in European Studies at the Nixon Center (now the Center for the National Interest).
A dual citizen of Canada and Serbia, Mr. Krnjević holds a B.A. (cum laude) in political science from Middlebury College and is an alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School’s Program for Senior Executives in National and International Security, where he received a fellowship from the Kokkalis Foundation. He is also an alumnus of the Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance and the China Executive Leadership Academy (CELAP).

Mangesh Patankar

Mangesh currently heads the Asia Gas and LNG Consulting practice for Wood Mackenzie and has led several gas/LNG advisory engagements, including market assessments, project feasibility as well as LNG contracting negotiations. He has around 20 years of experience in the Gas and LNG industry and worked in Shell’s LNG team prior to joining Wood Mackenzie.

Kamarul Bahrin Bin Haron is an award-winning Malaysian media and communication expert who is also a certified trainer by HRD Corp (Malaysia).
Kamarul was Editor-in-Chief and talk show anchor of Malaysia’s first 24-hour news channel, Astro Awani. For the channel’s internationalisation initiative, Kamarul engineered Astro Awani’s affiliation with the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos as the first accredited Malaysian Media Leader which synergised the channel’s thought leadership efforts in international discourse with the best of platforms. He was also trusted to moderate at the WEF ASEAN in Hanoi, Phnom Penh and Kuala Lumpur.
In his 30 years of media career, from print to broadcasting to online media, this multiple award-winning journalist has always been involved in making content relevant to the international audience.
In 1997 he helped to train the first magazine department of TV3 Ghana with particular emphasis on making local narratives relevant for the international audience.
In 2002 as the co-founder of the first live web streaming TV content in Malaysia for Cyberjaya TV, he was in-charge of editorial positioning and content presentation for a morning talk show that would be interesting to a global audience as Cyberjaya is Malaysia’s targeted Silicon Valley.
In 2014 during the MH370 tragedy Kamarul was instrumental in helping Astro Awani newsroom facilitate information to international newsrooms like ABC (USA) that did not have any local representative in Southeast Asia.
In 2018 Kamarul led from the frontline of live broadcast journalism to present the most watched ever election coverage during the historic 14th Malaysian General Election with over 10 million TV viewers and more than 14 million online viewers.
Kamarul currently welcomes gigs of journalistic passion as journalist, director, producer, anchor, consultant, trainer, moderator and emcee for media and communication initiatives.
As trainer and coach, Kamarul has trained C suite executives, media spokespersons, top civil servants, political leaders and even next generation media talents overseas.
He is especially keen in joining initiatives that builds content as the beating heart of an organisation’s communication either online, offline or both.

Rakhmad Dewanto was graduated from Faculty of Economics University Indonesia. He worked for TOTAL E&P Indonesie, subsidiary of TotalEnergies S.A for 15 years. He held several positions in Commercial Business Development Division including Head of Gas Revenue Controller, Head of Market Research, and Head Export & Domestic Gas Sales Department.
In 2018, he joined Pertamina Hulu Mahakam as Commercial Business Development & Strategic Planning Manager, prior to be appointed as Vice President Commercial PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia in 2020.
In 2021, he was assigned as Director Operation & Commercial PT Nusantara Regas and starting September 2022, he was apportioned as Director Gas and Fuel in PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia, a SubHolding PLN in charge for primary energy.
In 2018, he was also selected as Secretary General before appointed as Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Gas Society (IGS) in 2024. IGS is the association comprises of 25 companies of upstream, midstream, downstream and buyers of natural gas in Indonesia. IGS is also the charter member of International Gas Union (IGU)

Satoshi Yoshida

Mr. Yoshida has over 40 years of experience in the city gas industry. For the last 20 years he has been serving as a strategist and leading advocate for the Japan’s gas industry focusing on environment and energy policy. He is a member of the International Gas Union Executive Committee and serves as Regional Coordinator (Northeast Asia & Australasia).

Jane has been with PETRONAS for the past 13 years and is currently the Custodian for Upstream Research at Strategic Research.
Her passion for all things gas and to be “at home” in Malaysia spurred her to join PETRONAS, after spending more than two decades as a financial journalist with international news agencies.
She was a financial journalist with international news agencies including Dow Jones, Reuters and Bloomberg, where she covered Asia Pacific economic developments, monetary and fiscal policies as well as being right at the centre of the Asian financial crisis’ news coverage when Southeast Asian currencies tumbled in 1997. Jane reported on the sacking of then Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, was caught in the Kg Baru weekend protests, and also the collapse of the Suharto regime in Indonesia brought on by the financial crisis.
As a journalist, the industries she has delved in detail into include the banking sector, the commodities sector and also trading for crude oil and LNG.
Jane graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
The upstream sector remains crucial in meeting potential energy needs and a better understanding of this sector’s importance drives Jane to constantly share her knowledge in this business while learning from the experts in PETRONAS, an organisation she’s very proud to be a part of.

Dr. Mastura Abdul Karim

Dr. Mastura is currently the Undersecretary (SBFE) for Fiscal and Economics Division (FED) under the Ministry of Finance (MOF). She started her career with the Malaysian Civil Service in October 1995 as Assistant Director in the Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister’s Department.
After completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) in 1997, she has served in various Government ministries and departments mainly in the area of fiscal, capital market, tax and budget analysis. Following this, she was appointed as the Registrar of Credit Reporting Agencies from 2013 to 2014. In July 2017, Dr. Mastura was seconded for two years to the World Bank Group, Washington D.C. as the Alternate Executive Director representing eleven countries of the Southeast Asia Voting Group.
Dr. Mastura holds a PhD in Finance and an MBA (Finance) from Universiti Putra Malaysia. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) majoring in Accounting from University of Hartfort, Connecticut, USA.

Zain has around 30 years of local and regional experience in project and debt advisory, debt arrangement and principal investments, with nearly 15 years in the Maybank Group culminating in his role as Director & Head, Project Finance Advisory under Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (“Maybank IB”). In 2023 he made the pivot into Sustainability and in December 2024 he was appointed as Director, Sustainable Business, Group Sustainability, Maybank Group.
Before joining Maybank IB in 2010, he was Head of Islamic Finance, South East Asia (“SEA”) for Deloitte, responsible for developing the Islamic Finance advisory and infrastructure advisory businesses in the SEA region. Prior to Deloitte, Zain was attached to Babcock & Brown, an ASX-listed firm specialising in infrastructure advisory and investment, where he last held the post of Associate Director, Infrastructure, responsible for deal origination and execution in the SEA region and elsewhere, including Africa.
He began his banking and finance career in 1996 as a project finance banker, and subsequently a debt capital markets banker, with AmInvestment Bank (formerly Arab-Malaysian Merchant Bank), before relocating to Singapore in 2000 to join debtdomain Pte Ltd, a financial services internet start-up focusing on loan trading, as a founding team member and shareholder.

Dato’ Steven Aroki is a Council Member of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM). He is also the Chairman of FMM Energy and Utilities Management Committee as well as the Chairman of FMM Negeri Sembilan Branch. He sits on the board of FMM Institute and GS1 Malaysia Berhad ( a wholly owned subsidiatyof FMM)
He received his MBA from University of Southern Cross, Australia in 2002 and Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) in 1988.
Dato’ Steven Aroki is currently the Managing Director of FlortechSdn Bhd, which specialisesin epoxy and polyurethane flooring materials for the Asia Pacific region and Managing Director of SmaneMalaysia, a Malaysian-Thai JV company which main business is supplying specialisedplastic sheets and conductive compounds for the electronic, semiconductor and hard disk drive industries in the region.
He is a board member of the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2019.
His previous experiences included positions as Global Operations Director at BF Goodrich Malaysia and Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific at LNP Engineering Plastics, Malaysia.
He was formerly a board member of Negeri Sembilan Investment Corporation and Member of Gas Competition Appeal Tribunal from September 1, 2020to August 31, 2022.
Ramanrao Abdullah

Ramanrao bin Abdullah (Rao) is the Group Chief Executive Officer
of Deleum and Executive Director on the Board since July 2021.
He holds a Bachelor of Accounting from University of Malaya
and a Master in Business Administration from University of Leicester,
United Kingdom. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
His experience spanning more than 26 years have all been in
Halliburton, across the Finance, Business Development and
Operation workstreams before becoming Chief Executive Officer of
Halliburton Asia Pacific and subsequently Vice President of Business
Development for Asia Pacific and Asian National Oil Companies for
their Global Operations.
Rao’s uniquely diverse competencies in the oil and gas corporate and regulatory frameworks in
Malaysia and globally, coupled with his chartered accountant training, has enabled him to contribute
to the larger industry as a Council Member of the Malaysian Gas Association (MGA), adjunct lecturer
of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) and Executive Committee Member of International
Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) 2023.
He previously served on the Research Advisory
Council of UTP and the Advisory Council for Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Asia Pacific.
