As President of MGA, Abdul Aziz brings over 35 years of extensive experience and knowledge across the energy sector, particular in the gas industry.
Given his extensive exposure and knowledge, Abdul Aziz has been appointed as the International Gas Union’s Regional Coordinator for South & Southeast Asia to strengthen the region’s position in the global gas industry.
He is currently the Senior Vice President of Gas & Power, PETRONAS and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Offer of PETRONAS Gas Berhad (PGB). He is also a Non-Independent Executive Director at PGB, in addition to directorship in several other companies in PETRONAS.
He started his career in PETRONAS as an engineer at the Peninsular Gas Utilisation Project (PGU), the 2,623km gas transmission pipeline network spanning the entire Peninsular Malaysia owned and operated by PGB. He was later promoted to head the operations of the cogeneration facilities at PGB before his appointment as the Chief Executive Officer, Vinyl Chloride Malaysia Sdn Bhd. He then served as the Vice President, Strategy and New Ventures, PETRONAS Energy Canada Limited prior to his current appointment.
Aziz holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University George Washington, United States of America and has attended the INSEAD Programme at INSEAD Business School.

Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee was appointed the Chairman of Malaysia Aviation Group Berhad and Malaysia Airlines Berhad in July 2020. In September 2020, he was appointed the Chairman of DRB- HICOM, a diversified business conglomerate involved in automotive, services and property businesses. In July 2021, he joined the Board of Gas Malaysia Berhad as the Chairman of the company whose primary activity is the reticulation business of natural gas to industrial, commercial and residential customers. In September 2022, Wan Zulkiflee was appointed as a Director of Petromin EON Sdn Bhd, a nature of business providing multi-brand vehicles aftersales service. October 2023, Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad.
Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee had served Petronas, the national Oil and Gas Company of Malaysia, for 37 years. He was appointed President and Group CEO in April 2015 and retired from the position in June 2020 after a highly successful 5 years. He was on the Board of Petronas for more than 12 years, from August 2007 to June 2020.
In addition to the role as the Regulator for the Malaysian Oil and Gas industry and providing stewardship to Petronas domestic operations, he was instrumental in the expansion of Petronas international business over the years. These include the successful acquisition of exploration blocks in Mexico, gas projects in Oman, LNG Projects in Egypt and Australia. He also lead the establishment of the Joint Venture with Saudi Aramco for the development of the integrated Refinery and Petrochemical Project in Johor. During his tenure, the world’s first floating LNG facility was commissioned and many digital initiatives were introduced across the Group to transform Petronas into a data driven digital enabled organisation. He is also passionate about talent and leadership development as well as establishing the right culture for organisations.
He was active in the World Economic Forum activities in Davos as one of the Oil and Gas Governors and was on the Stewardship Board for Shaping the Future of Energy initiative. He was the Council member of ASCOPE, the association of the National Oil and Gas companies in ASEAN for 5 years when many new initiatives were embarked by ASCOPE. He was also the Chairman of the Malaysia’s National Trust Fund which was set up to conserve wealth from natural resources for the benefit of the nation and its future generation. He was a Council Member of the East
Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC) and the Northern Corridor
Implementation Authority (NCIA) where he chaired the Audit Committees at both Agencies.
In education, he held the role of Pro Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Petronas. He also sits on
the Board of Trustees at the Razak School of Government and was on the Advisory Council of
Institut Pentadbiran Awam or INTAN, both dedicated to the development of public sector
leadership. Wan Zulkiflee is also on the Board of Governors of International Islamic University of
Malaysia (IIUM) and as the Chairman of University Risk Management Committee, a committee
that oversees risk management implementation at the University. He also sits as Adjunct
Professor at the Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences and a Fellow for Institute of
Corporate Director, Malaysia (ICDM).

Executive Dialogue on “Future Proofing the Gas Industry”
Dato' Abdul Razak bin Abdul Majid was appointed as Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Tenaga Nasional Berhad, effective 27 March 2023. He brings along 50 years of work experience spanning over the whole range of supply chain activities in the energy industry.
He currently serves as a member of the Action Committee for the establishment of the National Energy Center at UNITEN since 2022 and Independent Advisory Panel of Malaysian Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC), an entity under the Ministry of Economy, to oversee the development and sustainability of the services companies of the oil & gas sector since 2021. Dato’ Abdul Razak had also served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Petronas Gas Berhad (PGB) from September 2018 to March 2023.
He has held various leadership roles in the energy industry, including Chairman of the Energy Commission of Malaysia (2014-2018) and CEO of MyPOWER Corporation (First Term 2009-2014 and Second Term 2018-2020). Over his tenure in MyPOWER Corporation and Energy Commission, he presided over a range of reform initiatives for the Malaysian Electricity Supply Industry (MESI), mainly arising out of the outcome of recommendations from MyPOWER studies. These included streamlining of capacity planning processes, competitive procurement of generation capacities for both conventional and renewable facilities as well as other other initiatives such as the establishment of ringed-fenced Single Buyer & Grid System Operator entities within the incumbent utility and Incentive-Based Regulation (IBR) framework incorporating fuel cost pass-through mechanism as the tariff setting mechanism for both electricity and gas supply networks. He also guided through the enactment of the Third-Party Access (TPA) framework for the electricity and gas supply industries.
For 36 years, he had served in planning, construction, and operation roles across Lembaga Letrik Negara (LLN) and TNB's core Divisions, ultimately served as the Company’s Vice President (Generation) and Senior Vice President (Corporate Affairs). He was also seconded to the Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister's Department (1998-2001) to assist in the studies and assessment on the prospects of the restructuring of the Malaysia Electricity Supply Industry, under the Review of Services Sector Program by the agency.
Dato' Abdul Razak graduated in Electrical Engineering from Brighton University, UK and holds Masters in Business Administration from Ohio University, USA.

Khairuddin has been with PETRONAS for over 30years. He is currently the CEO of PETRONAS Energy & Gas Trading Sdn Bhd (PEGT), offering Piped‐gas and LNG solutions to the Domestic Malaysian market.
Prior to that, Khairuddin was the Head of Value Optimisation for PETRONAS Global LNG Portfolio.
Khairuddin had vast experience in area of Sales & Marketing, Operations, Business Development, Optimisation and JV Management within various PETRONAS subsidiaries in Malaysia and Overseas.
Among others, Khairuddin has been assigned to PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad, PETRONAS International Corporation Limited (Egypt), PETRONAS LNG Sdn Bhd and Gladstone LNG Pty Ltd, Australia.
Khairuddin had also been attached to corporate functions in Gas Business Sector and also involved in various cross functional projects including Corporate Strategy Studies’ Integrated Transition Program and Digital Projects including Alpha LNG and Alpha Gas.

Andrea has +25-years’ experience in the energy and gas sector in strategic, development, commercial, regulatory and transition matters.
He started his career at Eni E&P and thereafter he actively promoted the liberalization process, leading UGS regulatory and business development.
He was one of the founders of Gas Storage Europe and has served several years as GIE Board member.
Since 2010, he moved to Snam where he has been leading infrastructure development and international M&A activities. Among these, he had a primary role in fostering the Southern Gas Corridor development.
When heading Snam Strategy, he was the initial promoter of the Gas for Climate 2050 initiative and launched the CNG/SSLNG and biomethane activities.
He then led the Snam Global Solutions business unit, founded to support gas markets development and optimization worldwide and, in specific, the set-up of Snam cooperation in China.
He is currently a Senior Advisor to Snam and is serving as International Gas Union Vice President and incoming 2025-2028 President.
Aris Mulya Azof

Aris M. Azof has over 27 years experience in the oil & gas industry.
Mr Azof began his career in Budget Accounting for Indonesia’s State Owned Oil & Gas Company PT Pertamina (Persero). Corporate finance, particularly in financing and business development, dominated his career. He has overseen the financing of many projects through project financing, bond and loan.
He has held the position of CEO of PT Trans Pacific Petrochemical Indotama from 2012 to 2015, and from 2018 to 2020, he held the positions of Finance & Commercial Director at PT Pertamina International E&P.
In 2021, Mr. Azof was named Senior Vice President of Pertamina, in charge of the company’s business development and portfolio of Downstream, Gas, Power, as well as New and Renewable Energy. He also oversees Pertamina’s Gas & LNG business and was appointed as Chairman of the Indonesian Gas Society

Rumaizi A Halim has more than 30 years working experience in oil and gas industry. He served PETRONAS for 25 years, holding various positions including Head of Commercial (Third Party Access) and Senior Manager Change Management.
He has been involved in gas market liberalization initiatives for Peninsular Malaysia since 2007 and continues advocacy work on market liberalization until today.
He is currently with Energy Commission Malaysia since January 2017 serving as the Deputy Director responsible for Third Party Access and gas market liberalization.
He is also a member of HRDF Sectoral Training Committee of Oil, Gas & Energy, responsible in outlining & shaping the industry capabilities.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration - Computer Information System from California State University Dominguez Hills and a Diploma in Mechanical Technology Gas from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

Masa Odaka is a senior analyst who has been closely following the gas and LNG market since December 2018.
His areas of expertise include the gas and LNG market, with a focus on Japan and South Korea’s downstream demand, as well as the Japanese oil and power market. Masa holds a master’s degree from the University of Toronto Global Affairs program, where he majored in international finance.
Prior to joining Rystad Energy, he was a senior analyst within the Platts LNG editorial team of S&P Global Platts for 4 years, after being an oil products analyst for 2 years. Masa was based in Singapore from 2019 to 2021, but is currently based in Tokyo. He speaks Japanese, English and German fluently.

Dato’ Steven Aroki is a Council Member of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM). He is also the Chairman of FMM Energy and Utilities Management Committee as well as the Chairman of FMM Negeri Sembilan Branch. He sits on the board of FMM Institute and GS1 Malaysia Berhad ( a wholly owned subsidiatyof FMM)
He received his MBA from University of Southern Cross, Australia in 2002 and Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) in 1988.
Dato’ Steven Aroki is currently the Managing Director of FlortechSdn Bhd, which specialisesin epoxy and polyurethane flooring materials for the Asia Pacific region and Managing Director of SmaneMalaysia, a Malaysian-Thai JV company which main business is supplying specialisedplastic sheets and conductive compounds for the electronic, semiconductor and hard disk drive industries in the region.
He is a board member of the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2019.

Patricia is the GM for Transformation and Energy Transition for Shell Malaysia. She is also Director for Shell New Ventures Malaysia. Her role involves leading Shell Malaysia’s Energy Transition strategy and driving the company's transformation in the Energy Transition. She currently leading Shell Malaysia's CCS development as an integrated value chain in the Energy Transition.
Patricia started her career with BP in London and has since held several senior leadership roles on various international flagship projects and production assets worldwide, including Azerbaijan, North Sea, Egypt and Angola. After 23 years abroad , Patricia came home to join Shell Malaysia in 2021.
She holds a PhD. in CCS and Masters from Newcastle University, UK. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Mech. Engineers UK and is a published author.
She is passionate about people and the future of the Energy Transition in Malaysia.

Egon joined ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions in
October 2023.
In this role, Egon has the responsibility for ExxonMobil’s
business development activities in the low carbon
solutions space in South East Asia with a focus on cross
border Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) value chains.
Previously, Egon
held a variety of executive management positions in the US, Asia Pacific and
Africa, including and recently SVP business development of ExxonMobil’s
affiliate in Indonesia. Other assignments include opportunity origination,
commercial negotiations, planning and analyst roles.
He has more than 25 years of oil and gas experience and has worked in
exploration, gas marketing, midstream, refining & supply and research
throughout the US, Europe and Asia Pacific regions. Prior to joining ExxonMobil,
Egon was a management consultant.
Egon has an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology
and an MBA in strategic management and finance from the University of
Pennsylvania. He is active in the Association of International Energy Negotiators

Handan Ramli

Handan joined PETRONAS in January 1991 as a Construction Engineer with PETRONAS Carigali Sdn
Bhd (PCSB). In his early days, he was assigned to several onshore and offshore development
projects, exposing him to various project phases from engineering design, fabrication, offshore
installation, hook-up, to commissioning and start-up.
In the subsequent years, he led process and mechanical team before his secondment to Malaysia-
Thailand Joint Authority in 2005 to lead exploration and production department.
In 2010, he was assigned as Head, Garraf oilfield project delivery in Iraq where he successfully led
his team in delivering first oil in August 2013.
Upon returning to Malaysia in 2014, he was leading resource development team, under Malaysia
PETROLEUM Management, overseeing appraisal wells and delivering several FDPs for oil and gas
resources development in Sarawak.
In 2016, he was assigned as Head, Project Delivery (Upstream International), under Project
Delivery and Technology Division. In addition of overseeing development projects, he was also
leading an execution team to perform 1st Deepwater decommissioning project offshore
Mauritania.
In 2017, he was appointed as Project Director for ENGEN Petroleum Ltd based in Durban, South
Africa.
Since early 2019, he has been leading the Production & Operations Management, under Malaysia
PETROLEUM Management – the exploration & production regulatory arm of Malaysia.
He graduated from University College London, in Mechanical Engineering.

Danuwas Lambasara is Vice President, Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) Department of PTT Exploration and Production PCL (PTTEP).
His current role is to drive initiation and execution of Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) projects in PTTEP for both oil & gas asset decarbonisation and business diversification pillars.
Danuwas started his career in oil and gas industry with PTTEP in 2012. He has progressed his career through various areas including HSE, Asset & Development Planning, Facility Engineering, Business Development, Bongkot & Erawan Asset transition.
He was appointed in 2022 as VP of Field Development Planning before rotated to his current role.

Ramanrao Abdullah

Ramanrao bin Abdullah (Rao) is the Group Chief Executive Officer
of Deleum and Executive Director on the Board since July 2021.
He holds a Bachelor of Accounting from University of Malaya
and a Master in Business Administration from University of Leicester,
United Kingdom. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
His experience spanning more than 26 years have all been in
Halliburton, across the Finance, Business Development and
Operation workstreams before becoming Chief Executive Officer of
Halliburton Asia Pacific and subsequently Vice President of Business
Development for Asia Pacific and Asian National Oil Companies for
their Global Operations.
Rao’s uniquely diverse competencies in the oil and gas corporate and regulatory frameworks in
Malaysia and globally, coupled with his chartered accountant training, has enabled him to contribute
to the larger industry as a Council Member of the Malaysian Gas Association (MGA), adjunct lecturer
of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) and Executive Committee Member of International
Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) 2023.
He previously served on the Research Advisory
Council of UTP and the Advisory Council for Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Asia Pacific.
Rosman Hamzah

Rosman Hamzah has nearly 30 years of extensive experience in the energy sector covering the entire cycle of energy projects from policy-making, business development, engineering, project management and service.
Rosman was previously the Secretary General of Malaysian Gas Association (MGA) where he successfully transformed the Association into a globally recognised lead advocate for Malaysian gas industry and a proactive bridge between policymakers and industry.
His contribution to the gas industry was recognised when he received the ASEAN Energy Award for Individual in 2023.
Prior to joining MGA, Rosman acquired more than two decades of experience with leading international players including General Electric, Siemens and Alstom, where he acquired extensive knowledge and experience across the entire power generation technology, ranging from fossil fuel power plants to those using renewable resources.
He has spoken and moderated at numerous conferences, both in Malaysia and overseas. He was instrumental in establishing the Malaysia Women In Energy (MyWiE) that champions equal opportunity for women in the energy sector.
Rosman holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Nottingham, a graduate of University of Bath and is a member of the Industrial Advisory Panel at College of Engineering, Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN).

Khairulanwar Zakaria

Khairulanwar Zakaria (KZ) joined PETRONAS in 1991 upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree from City University, London, United Kingdom.
He supported the development of integrated petroleum complexes in Kerteh and Gebeng which entailed the development of Gas Processing Plants, various petrochemical plants as well as the supporting infrastructures and facilities. He worked at the company's Corporate Planning Division in 1997 and was seconded to the Malaysian Prime Minister Department's Economic Planning Unit (EPU) as PETRONAS representative in 1999.
In 2002, he pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration Program (MBA Energy) under PETRONAS' Scholarship in HEC Montreal, Canada. Upon completing his MBA in 2003, he was involved in the company wide Corporate Strategy Study/Integrated Transition Program (CSS/ITP). His main role was formulating and executing PETRONAS’ expansion strategy in gas related activities.
KZ took on the business development role for Gas Business in 2004 and was promoted to General Manager, Business Development in 2009. Among notable achievements during his tenure as the Head of Business Development were concluding Gas Sales Agreements (GSAs) in Singapore, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, formulating Gas Utilization and Monetization Masterplan (Mauritania), acquisition of Cogeneration plant in the UK as well as acquisition of Shale Gas assets in Canada.
He assumed the position of General Manager of Fleet Management in 2012. His main roles were managing the operation of 23 LNG ships serving PETRONAS Group of companies’ requirements, overseeing the safety aspect of LNG cargo delivery operation, providing advice on technical and marine operation (related to LNG ships) as well as determining the LNG shipping capacity requirement for PETRONAS Group of companies. In 2013, he was involved in the conclusion of Ship Building Contract for 4 new LNG ships.
He was appointed as the Head of LNG Marketing Korea, China and Taiwan in May 2015. His areas of responsibilities involve all types of LNG sale (spot and term); where he concluded numerous LNG supply deals (more than 8 mtpa), contract repackaging and price review exercises in those countries. He led a few “breakthrough” initiatives in LNG contracts and operation such as China Truck Market Price Index, AECO Index, Ship To Ship (STS) LNG transfer, LNG ISO Tanks deliveries and multiple discharge port deliveries (China).
