5th National Energy Forum 2013 Successfully Concluded

The 5th Malaysian National Energy Forum was successfully held in Dorsett Grand Subang Hotel, Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia on 3rd September 2013. The forum was officiated by YB Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili, Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Malaysia.
The Forum, with the theme “Delivering a Sustainable Energy Future for Malaysia: Taking on Tomorrow’s Challenges Today”, attracted more than 350 participants comprising of senior Government officials, regulators, industry captains and key stakeholders.
YB Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili, Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Malaysia (KeTTHA) in his welcoming address pointed that energy security is high on the government’s agenda. There is a need to diversify our energy supply both in term of range of sources and suppliers as well as moving towards a market based pricing regime.
The one day event featured 3 keynote speakers, 2 panel discussions and 1 roundtable discussion.
