The 8th International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this December 10-12, 2014. The conference is set to take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, returning to Malaysia for the first time since 2008.
This conference is renowned as the premier multi-disciplinary oil and gas event in the Eastern Hemisphere and is the result of the collaboration between four professional sponsoring societies, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers (EAGE), the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
The Kuala Lumpur event is hosted by PETRONAS and co-hosted by Shell and Schlumberger. MGA is the Senior Endorsing Organisation for this event and assisted in the organization of the Special Session on Mid Stream Gas on “Maximising the Potential of Natural Gas – Policies & Technologies” which will be held on 12 December 2014 from 1430 – 1630 hrs.

Highlights at the 2014 IPTC-KL are set to include:
• 500+ Peer Reviewed Technical Papers delving into current applications and future technologies in the oil & gas industry. Acclaimed for its technical quality, the conference will feature 3 days of paper presentations from leading experts around the globe.
• Plenary Sessions featuring addresses from some of the most influential names in the industry.
• Panel Sessions featuring spirited discussions and Q&A’s on industry critical issues.
• More than 50 exhibitors showcasing their latest technologies, new product launches, and industry services at the 4,500 square metre trade show.
