The Seminar was officiated by En Zahid Osman, Vice-President of MGA and keynote address by Ir Ahmad Nornadzmi b Datuk Dr. Dzulkarnain, Director of Gas Supply and Safety Department, Suruhanjaya Tenaga. Eight presentation covering various topics ranging from the Gas Supply situation in Sabah to the Safety aspects of Gas and LPG were presented by speakers from Sabah Energy Corporation, Gas Malaysia Berhad, PETRONAS Dagangan, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, SIRIM QAS and UTM-MPRG Oil & Gas Institute.
In addition to the Seminar, there was also an exhibition participated by the following companies:

There was some unexpected drama during the event. At around lunch time, at the hotel where the Seminar was conducted, a fire alarm sounded. There was a small fire and all hotel guests and event participants were quickly evacuated. Apparently an air-cond compressor caught fire due to a short circuit and destroyed some beds and mattresses. The quick response of the Fire and Rescue personnel and the staff prevented the fire from spreading and the situation was restored back to normal in a short time. The incident was reported in the local daily.
