MGA President and IGU Regional Coordinator for South & South East Asia, Hazli Sham Kassim speaks at 9th International Indonesia Gas Conference and Exhibition (IndoGAS 2019) on the Regional Collaboration to Ensure a Sustainable Gas Future.

The key takeaways are:
• The region’s robust economic and demographic growth is pushing energy demand higher. However, at the same time it faces challenges, particularly air pollution and carbon emissions. Hence, there is a need for collaboration to ensure sustainability.
• There is a strong case to be made for gas as the fuel of today as well as in the region’s sustainable low carbon energy future. Consequently, there is potential to unlock greater gas utilization.
• Through collaboration, IGU members in South East Asia region can support and supplement existing regional G-to-G collaboration on gas.
