Rebranded PRESTIGE a Hit with Students

University students explored Energy Transition & gained insights into future career

MGA’s annual flagship PRESTIGE program that was rebranded as Program on Energy Sustainability Transition and Insights to Graduate Engineers (PRESTIGE) took place from 21-23 October 2022 in Putrajaya The three day residential program saw MGA host 60 final year engineering students from 6 universities in the central region of Peninsular Malaysia.

The aim of PRESTIGE 2022 is to provide a platform to bridge the industry with university students towards enhancing awareness of the whole value chain of the natural gas industry, the importance of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and career opportunities, in the hope of increasing their employability rate and preparedness in joining the industry upon graduation.

Industry leaders from MGA member companies came forward to share their expertise experience Their strong support greatly contributed towards the success of the program. This year’s sponsors were Gas Malaysia and ExxonMobil.

Groupwork: Poster Talk

Divided into group comprising students from different universities, the students delivered Poster Talks on the “Benefits of Natural Gas to Malaysia and its role in the Energy Transition towards achieving Net Zero Emission by 2050.
